CLCS Pool Schedule Summer 2008

$1 per swimmer, per session (pay at the pool).

9-10:30 AM Each lesson 30 min. long	Monday Wednesday	Swim Lessons $20 fee for 5 weeks through Aug. 6	American Red Cross Levels I-VI for ages 5 & up; pre-registration required. Inquire about availablity and register at the first class (9 AM Mon. July 7)
9:30-10:45 AM	Note correct days! Tuesday Thursday	Swim & Dive Club $20 fee for 6 weeks through Aug. 14	For swimmers entering grades 4-9 able to swim at least one length of the pool -- see registration form for details; pre-registration required. Inquire about availbility and register at the first class (9:30 AM Tues. July 8).
11 AM - 12 NOON	Monday Tuesday Thursday	Aquatic Exercise	Ages 18 & up
12 NOON - 2 PM	Monday thru Friday	Open Swim*	All ages*

* Open Swim is for swimmers of all ages. Children ages 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult, who must stay to supervise them, but need not swim.

Fee: $2 per swimmer, per day; debit card for 10 sessions $18 (Pay at Pool).
Special rates available by the week, month, summer season, 6 months or year.

Turner Pool Schedule Summer 2008

The Turner Pool will be OPEN on the following schedule through Sun. Aug. 24.

7-11 AM	Monday-Sunday	Lap Swim
11:30 AM - 2 PM	Monday-Friday	Open Swim** / Lap Swim
3-4 PM	Monday/Wednesday/Friday	Water Exercise***
4:30-6 PM	Monday-Friday	Lap Swim
6-7:30 PM	Monday-Friday	Open Swim**
12 NOON - 4 PM	Saturday & Sunday	Open Swim**

** At Turner Pool children age 6 & under must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult. Children age 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult in the pool room.

*** Water Exercise at the Turner Pool is listed on page 32 of the Special Studies catalog as Class # 1307 (M/W/F), $22/week for those who pre-register, or pay at the door ($11/class) on a space available basis. Public Swimming Beaches at Chautauqua

Chautauqua Institution has four public swimming beaches ; all are open through Aug. 24 . Children’s Beach , located near the Miller Bell Tower, provides a shallow swimming area and beach for youth and families to play and picnic. Pier Beach , adjacent to Children’s Beach, is an adult, deep-water swimming area. Heinz Beach, located on South Lake Drive, is one of two large swimming areas and includes a floating raft. University Beach, on North Lake Drive, is the second of two large swimming areas and includes a floating raft as well as an outdoor shower. All beaches have bathroom facilities.

Water depth does not allow for diving at any of Chautauqua’s beaches. No flotation devices or pets are allowed. Deep-end tests must be passed by children wanting to swim in the deeper water. Small children must be accompanied by an adult (age 18 or over). Swimming is permitted only when lifeguards are on duty, during these posted hours: Mon.-Sat. 10 AM -6 PM (Children’s, Pier, Heinz), 11 AM -6 PM (University). Sun. 12-6 PM (all beaches). Remember, there are no gate fees at Chautauqua Institution on Sundays ! See you at the beach!
