Dear Chautauqua Lake Central District Community:
We have been notified by the local health department that an individual within our district tested positive for COVID-19. The local health department designated this case as “off-site” and there are no direct school contacts therefore no school staff or students are required to quarantine.
We will continue to follow all Department of Health protocols and provide further updates if additional steps need to be taken. We ask that you please continue to monitor yourself and your families for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if you are sick. In addition, please contact your healthcare provider or our school nurses (753-5819) if you develop symptoms or if you have any additional questions or concerns. More information on the symptoms of COVID-19 can be found at https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home or on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html.
Finally, we ask that you please respect the privacy of any individual in our school community who has tested positive and continue to focus on the measures we are taking to protect the health and welfare of our community.
Thank you for your flexibility, understanding, and continued support as we navigate through these challenges together. If you have questions or concerns regarding the information please let us know.
Respectfully,
Dr. Josh Liddell Superintendent & the Chautauqua Lake Leadership Team
