Dear School Community,
As you are probably already aware, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) recently released a Reopening of Schools document that aligns with up-to-date Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance. This was done in an effort to get more students across the state of New York back into schools for in-person learning. While we returned to in-person learning in September, we are still required to align with this guidance. We have developed a sub-committee made up of key members of the original CL Reopening Team. Our sub-committee will review the key points of this new guidance document specifically its masking requirements and 3 feet distancing recommendation. Members of our leadership team have reviewed the guidance document and we look forward to meeting with the sub-committee to continue our analysis. If you have any feedback, questions, or comments on the new NYSDOH reopening document information (linked below) please feel free to email them to our district secretary Heidi Martin hmartin@clake.org or call (716)753-5808. Any modifications to our original plan will be posted on our website and will be subject to submission to our state and local governing agencies. Thank you for your support!
