Good Afternoon,
This is Josh Liddell, Superintendent. We want to thank you for a great start to the school year. It has been exciting to see all our students back to school as we presently do not have any students in a remote learning pathway. On the COVID 19 front, we wanted to report that this past week we were notified by the local Department of Health (DOH) that three individuals on our campus have tested positive for COVID-19. We wish the three individuals a full and quick recovery. Our Leadership Team worked with the local DOH to notify any close contacts. At the present time, the Department of Health has shared that there is no evidence of in-school spread of the virus with these cases. We also have come to understand that these three positive cases originated outside of school.
For this year, in an effort to reduce the number of School Messenger calls to parents, we will have a COVID-19 News item posted on our website every Friday that we will use to notify parents of the number of new cases from the week. The news item will also include an attached COVID-19 notification letter with additional details about the positive cases. A reminder if your children are ever identified as close contacts, the district leadership team and the Department of Health will notify you directly as soon as possible. If at any time during the week you have questions, concerns, or want to know the most recent number of cases you can contact the district office at 753-5808.
We thank you again for your continued support and flexibility as we navigate through the beginning of the school year together. Have a good weekend.
