Peter Ahrens, Executive Director of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance, visits CLSD

Peter Ahrens, Executive Director of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance, visited Chautauqua Lake Central School’s Engineering and Manufacturing program.  Mr. Ahrens’s visit was prompted by the exemplary reputation of Chautauqua Lake’s STEM program and the variety of college credit courses and manufacturing career pathways that are offered. He specifically visited to review Chautauqua Lake’s use of HAAS CNC machines as well as the JCC and RIT accredited courses offered. Students in the program demonstrated various projects they have been working on and the machines and equipment available to those enrolled in the program.
