CLCS Welcomes Mr. Steger
Chautauqua Lake is excited to welcome Joe Steger as the new K-12 Assistant Principal. We are so proud and excited to add Mr. Steger to our Chautauqua Lake CSD family and our leadership team. We strongly feel his work ethic, character, and past educational experiences will positively impact our culture and school environment. His references used terms such as remarkable, dedicated, and passionate when describing him as an educational professional.
Mr. Steger is very excited to begin his administrative journey at Chautauqua Lake. He stated, “I knew immediately that Chautauqua Lake Central School is a special place! The people that I have met so far - the leadership team, teachers and students, members of the school board - have been incredibly welcoming.” Mr. Steger grew up in Orchard Park, NY, next to the Bills’ stadium and hopes for a Superbowl win next season. He loves to spend time with his wife and 10-month-old daughter, baby Savi. His family loves the outdoors and is extremely excited about the nice weather on its way.
Mr. Steger obtained his undergraduate degree from Gannon University and his master's degree from Canisius College. He has completed all of his Educational Leadership courses at St. Bonaventure University. For 15 years, Mr. Steger has enjoyed honing his teaching and leadership skills. He has also been a coach, mentor, and advisor. He has taught English Language Arts 9-12, including various elective and communication courses. Most recently, he was teaching at Ellicottville Central Schools. “It has been a true blessing to make a career out of working with students and communities to create positive change. I’m honored and excited to get started at Chautauqua Lake,” Mr. Steger added.
