Good Afternoon,
As announced in the press release below, both the Chautauqua Lake and Bemus Point Boards of Education have approved my appointment as a shared superintendent between the two districts. I’m truly honored to take on this role, as both communities mean a great deal to me—personally and professionally.
To the Chautauqua Lake community, please know that my commitment to you remains as strong as ever. Over the past 18 years, we’ve built something truly special together, and I look forward to continuing our work to strengthen and grow this amazing district.
This partnership isn’t about dividing leadership—it’s about expanding what’s possible. By working together and sharing resources, we can provide all students with an exceptional educational experience.
Each district has its own unique identity, traditions, and strengths. My role is not to change that, but to honor and support it—while finding new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Beginning in mid-December, I will divide my time between Chautauqua Lake and Bemus Point. Other than that, very little will change for our district. Our strong leadership team, dedicated teachers, and incredible staff remain fully in place, and the daily experience for students and families will continue to reflect the excellence you’ve come to expect from Chautauqua Lake.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We’re excited for what the future holds and look forward to discovering new and creative ways to enhance the Chautauqua Lake student experience.
Respectfully,
Josh Liddell
