During this time of uncertainty, our staff at CLCS will continue to work to ensure your student's program has minimal disruption.
Our teachers have been working to develop instructional materials and to educate our students in this new environment. Their plans and their related instructional methods are intended to focus on student equity. Teachers have been tasked to think about the quantity and quality of the work we are sending home. We do not want to overwhelm our students or parents, but at the same time, we want to be sure that we are providing our students with a meaningful experience, not just busy work.
Below (in the gray box) you will see attachments that are general resources parents can use with any student, please see the attached files at the bottom of this page for resources that may be helpful to you and your child(ren).
With respect to students with disabilities, our teachers and our CSE chairs have been communicating with families to ensure students with disabilities have the appropriate supports to access their instruction, while at home. The District will continue to monitor this closely and continue to provide education and related services through distance learning methods.
The provided resources will help ensure your child continues learning throughout the duration of the school closure.
The most common systems used to communicate with students and parents at the Secondary and Elementary levels are Google Classroom and Class Dojo (mainly for Elementary).
