The Chautauqua Lake Athletic Department is proud to report that both the Varsity Girls' and Boys' Basketball teams had big first-round Section VI playoff wins on Friday, February 28.

The Varsity Boys' Basketball team defeated Portville 71-56. The Varsity Girls' team defeated Catt/Little Valley in decisive fashion 69-19.

The boys advance to face Middle Early College, one of the top teams in Section VI. The game will take place on Tuesday, March 2 at 5:15 p.m. at Jamestown Community College. Middle Early College is the #1 seed and the top-ranked small school in WNY. We wish the boys nothing but luck! 

The girls face the #6 seed, Silver Creek, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3. 

If either the boys or girls win, their teams will advance to play in the Sectional Finals.
