A Successful Science Fair
March 18, 2020

On Wednesday, March 11, 5th grade students presented their science projects to families, friends, classmates, and our high school judges during the annual Science Fair.

Judging took place earlier in the day with high school students and fifth-graders discussing the projects one-on-one. The fifth-graders presented their hypothesis, experiments and findings, while the high school students asked questions, helped the fifth-graders feel comfortable presenting in front of others and scored the projects. Later that night, the Science Fair was open to the community, where the fifth-graders once again presented their projects, only to a much larger crowd this time.

On Thursday, March 12, other Elementary classes were able to view the projects close-up and learn more about the scientific method and the research and experimentation process. An awards assembly was also held to congratulate the fifth-graders and announce the Science Fair winners.

This was a great experience for everyone involved, but especially for the fifth-graders who saw all of their hard work pay off.
