Service Projects at CLCS

Helping at the Mayville Food Pantry

Students at CLCS make monthly trips to the Mayville Food Pantry to help unload the supply truck and stock the pantry shelves. In some months, they handle two tons of food!

The Food Pantry is located at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 99 S. Erie St. It is open to those in need from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Those who need assistance may go to the Pantry during those hours or, for emergency supplies or more information, call St. Paul's Episcopal Church Office, (716) 753-2172.

Annual Christmas Project

The Annual Christmas Project, sponsored by the National Honor Society, usually runs from late November to mid-December.

Care Packages for Troops

Each holiday season, Eighth Grade students and staff collaborate with the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, William L. Travis Post #493 in Mayville, as well as the Ladies’ Committee for Children and Youth and the Blue Star Mothers, to make the holidays a little brighter for local men and women serving in the military.  For the care packages, the Eighth Graders collect items ranging from snacks and beverages, to personal care items, socks and flip flops, from batteries and zipper-style plastic bags, to games, puzzles, books and magazines.  Students send thank you cards and personal notes of thanks, also.

Mayville Winter Festival

Volunteers from Student Administration (Grades 9-12) and the Senior class help at the annual Mayville Winter Festival.
