Health Care Available For Children, Adults At Little or No Cost

You and your family have many new low cost, quality health insurance options available through the New York State Health Exchange.

Open enrollment for health insurance is November 15 through February 15. You can quickly compare health plan options and apply for assistance that could lower the cost of your health coverage.

Individuals and families may apply at any time for Medicaid, featuring upgraded guidelines, or for Child Health Plus, the NYS health plan for children under age 19 who have limited or no health insurance and are not eligible for Medicaid.  Applications are also accepted through the NYS Health Exchange from those who have experienced an event that resulted in loss of insurance.

Child Health Plus will answer your questions, find the right doctor for your child, and support you in keeping your child healthy.  You pay no fees for a wide array of services and offers FREE health education programs on a wide variety of topics.  They also offer help 24 hours a day with the Response Line, a toll-free number where you can get fast answers to your health questions.
